Hourly Deck

Short-term parking

100–200 feet from the terminal doors, this is CLT’s closest car park

The Hourly Deck sits directly in front of the Main Terminal at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, marked on airport signs as short-term parking. It’s built for fast in-and-out stops, not long stays. Think quick pickups, drop-offs, or same‑day business trips where saving 10–20 minutes on walking and shuttle time actually matters.

Rates run on an hourly clock, so this deck gets expensive if you stay more than a day. It’s standard short‑term pricing for CLT, higher than Daily Decks or Long Term lots, but you’re trading dollars for proximity. The big win: you park, take an elevator or stairs down a couple of levels, and you’re in the terminal check-in hall within a few minutes.

This deck is fully post‑payment: you take a ticket on entry, then pay by card or cash at exit. Because it’s right in front of the Main Terminal, it works well for meeting arriving passengers at Door 2 or 4 on the lower level. Flight running early or late by 30–60 minutes? You can wait in your car in the Hourly Deck instead of doing loops around Josh Birmingham Parkway.

Structure is standard garage style: multiple levels, covered parking, and elevators that drop you near the terminal crosswalks. No shuttle bus, no extra transfer – you just walk 2–5 minutes, depending on your space. At peak times (early Monday mornings around 6:00–8:00 a.m.), the lower levels can fill first, so be ready to drive up a few floors.

Pro tip: If you’re staying more than about 6–8 hours, run the math against CLT’s Daily North or Daily East decks; even with an extra 5–10 minutes of walking, the daily rate often beats an overnight in the Hourly Deck by a noticeable margin.
