Long-term parking

Covered parking at CLT without Hourly Deck prices

The Daily Deck at Charlotte Douglas (CLT) is the airport’s long-term option for drivers who want covered parking near the Main Terminal but don’t want to pay Hourly Deck rates. It sits a short walk from the terminal entrance, with elevated walkways linking the decks directly into the main building, so you can stay out of the rain with a roller bag and laptop.

This is long-term parking, so pricing comes by the day, not the hour, and usually undercuts the Hourly Deck by a noticeable margin while sitting much closer than the remote long-term lots. Stays of 1–7 days tend to be the sweet spot: business overnights, long weekends, or a 3–4 day conference trip. If you’re gone 10+ days, the economy lots often beat it on total cost.

The Daily Deck connects into the Main Terminal security checkpoint area, so you don’t need a shuttle to reach American’s concourses or any other airline. Expect a 6–10 minute walk from car to security if you park on an upper level near the walkways, versus 12–15 minutes if you land a spot farther out or on a lower floor and use elevators.

The decks include covered spaces on multiple levels, which helps in North Carolina summer heat and thunderstorms. If you care about exit speed, park near the stairwells closest to the main vehicle exits instead of hugging the walkways. Late Sunday evenings and early Monday mornings fill up the faster-access spots first.

Tip: Screenshot your level/section on your phone before heading to the terminal; CLT’s Daily Decks can blur together after a 3-day trip and a midnight arrival.
