Blue Lot sits on airport property just north of the terminal, so you skip the shuttle entirely and just follow the sidewalk in. It’s the middle ground between the higher-priced Smart Garage and the cheaper, farther options.

Entrance is off Park Road from Inner Drive, and that turn comes up fast if you’re following GPS. Blue and Red lots face each other on Park Road, so it’s easy to drift into the wrong entrance if you’re in the wrong lane. Watch for the Blue Lot signs specifically, not just “airport parking,” especially when traffic stacks up near the terminal loop.

CLE lists Blue Lot at a credit-card-only minimum of $24 per day with automated payment at the exit. There’s no cash option, which some per diem travelers complain about when they need a specific style of printed receipt. Google reviews also point out that during holidays the lot fills quickly and signage at the entrance doesn’t always clearly say “full” until you’re already stuck in the queue.

The walk from Blue Lot to the terminal clocks in under 5 minutes for most people, but reviewers mention it feels longer in snow, rain, or with heavy bags since portions are exposed. In winter, plowed snow piles can take up usable spaces and shrink the real capacity, so you may spend extra minutes hunting for a spot even when the entrance is open.

Regular CLE flyers say they default to Blue for weekday business trips because it’s on-airport and cheaper than the Smart Garage. Some skip the garage entirely when they see congestion and dive straight into Blue from Inner Drive to avoid circling. A common move is to park toward the exit side closest to the terminal path, which trims a minute or two off the walk when you land late at night.

Tip: As you approach on Inner Drive, get into the correct lane for Park Road early and verify you’re turning into Blue, not Red, before you commit to the entrance line.
