You’ll find it post-security, so this is a quick in-and-out while you watch the clock for boarding at gates in T2. Stock covers the usual duty free mix: liquor, perfume, cosmetics, cigarettes, plus branded chocolates and packaged snacks with “Köln” printed on the box.

Prices follow standard EU duty free ranges: 1L spirits often sit around €15–€25, big Toblerone-style bars around €4–€6, and mid-range fragrances in the €40–€70 bracket. If you know your home prices, you can spot the few genuine deals; otherwise, assume you’re paying for airport convenience more than huge savings. Cigarettes follow EU tax rules, so check allowances if you’re leaving Schengen.

Selection skews to big brands you’d also see in Frankfurt or Munich, with shelves of Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, Lindt, Ritter Sport, and the usual designer fragrance lines. Local angle is mostly in souvenir-style sweets and gift packs with “Germany” or “Cologne” labeling rather than niche regional producers. If you need a small thank-you gift under €10, go straight to the chocolate multipacks near the front.

Lines are usually shortest outside the 06:00–09:00 and 17:00–20:00 waves, when multiple flights out of Terminal 2 board.
