Three-minute walk from Terminals 1/2, but in a reserved corner of P1

P1K sits inside the main P1 garage at Cologne Bonn Airport and is set up as a short-term, pre-booked sector with about a 3-minute walk to Terminals 1 and 2. Think “closest garage,” but with spaces held back for people who lock it in online rather than rolling up and hoping P1 still has room.

This is short-term parking, so it suits trips of a few hours up to a couple of days rather than long vacations; pricing is in the typical terminal-garage bracket (around €8 per day in the airport’s own examples, always check the current rate when booking). You enter the same physical P1 structure cars use for regular short-stay parking, then follow on-site signs marked for the reserved sector to reach the P1K zone.

Access runs on the airport’s “identification medium” system described in the FAQ: QR codes, license plate recognition, or the same payment card at both the entry and exit barriers. If you register your number plate when booking, the camera at P1K should lift the barrier automatically; if you chose QR, you hold that same code to the scanner at both gate-in and gate-out.

Regulars stress one thing: use the exact same ID medium at both points. If you tap in with a credit card at 08:10, tap out with that same card when you leave; if you scan a QR code on your phone at arrival, pull up that same code again at exit to avoid extra charges or a call button conversation.

Tip: Screenshot your QR code or booking confirmation before driving to P1K so you can still open it at the barrier even if mobile data drops in the concrete of the P1 structure.
