Main Car Park

Short-stay

Free surface lot, one-minute walk from CFU Terminal 1

CFU’s Main Car Park sits immediately to the left as you drive into the airport zone, about a 1-minute walk from the single terminal entrance. It’s a small, open-air, short-stay setup rather than a big multi-storey, and most guides describe it as effectively free for quick drop-offs and pick-ups. Think pull in, park, walk 80–100 meters, and you’re at check-in.

This is short-stay territory, not a structured long-term option: multiple travel blogs and even Flydubai’s destination info describe a free lot by the entrance that people use for brief visits rather than week-long trips. For true long stays, off-airport operators like EasyPark Hub advertise prices around €7 for 7 days with a shuttle, which tells you locals don’t leave their car in the main lot for a week.

Capacity is the catch. Reviews and guides flag that the left-hand lot has limited spaces, and in July–August people report circling or bailing out to nearby street parking when every bay is taken. Aggregated ratings of roughly 3/5 for CFU parking line up with that: it works, but in peak season you might burn 10–20 minutes just hunting a space.

What regulars do: they glance at the lot as they roll in; if it looks even close to full, they don’t wait around. They immediately loop back out and head for street spots or a pre-booked off-airport car park rather than gambling on a space freeing up.

Tip: For departures or pick-ups under an hour, aim for the free left-hand lot first; for anything resembling a full day or more, pre-book an off-airport car park with a shuttle and skip the stress in front of Terminal 1.
