T2’s Burger King sits airside near several international gates.

This Burger King is in Terminal T2, past security, so you’re fine on time if you’re already checked in and airside. Exact gate numbers shift a bit with remodels, but it’s in the main departures concourse used for many China Southern and partner flights. Figure 5–10 minutes’ walk from most mid-60s to mid-80s gates in T2 if you keep a normal pace.

Hours here usually track early-morning departures through late-night bank times, roughly 06:00 to 22:00, with occasional extensions when red‑eyes run heavy. Prices land above downtown Guangzhou, but in line with airport fast food: a basic burger combo often lands in the ¥45–¥65 range, and larger set meals can push past ¥70. Expect card and mobile payments (WeChat Pay, Alipay, UnionPay) to work more smoothly than foreign cash.

The menu follows the usual Burger King line-up: Whopper-style burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, onion rings, and sodas. Portions run similar to other Chinese outlets, not the oversized US style. If you want to eat on the plane, a Whopper combo is usually packed in a paper bag that survives a 15–20 minute walk to your gate. Vegetarian options are thin; you’re basically looking at fries, side salads, or custom no‑meat orders.

There’s basic seating right by the counter, and turnover ties directly to peak flights around common departure waves at T2. At 08:00 or 19:00, you may stand 10–15 minutes in line; mid-afternoon downtime can drop that to under 5 minutes. Service leans fast-food efficient: trays appear quickly, but special requests sometimes add a few minutes.

Tip: if your boarding pass shows a remote-bus gate in T2, give yourself at least 25 minutes from joining the Burger King line to reaching the downstairs bus holding area; those doors often close 15 minutes before departure.
