$10 per day makes BWI Long Term Parking the budget play

At $10.00 per day or $70.00 per week, BWI’s Long Term Parking is the cheapest official on-airport option if you’re leaving the car for 4–5 days or more. Rates are flat and all-in, so you’re not hit with extra taxes or add-on fees at the exit gate. FlyerTalk regulars literally call it “best deal” compared with the Daily Garage and hourly options.

The two Long Term surface lots sit about 1 mile from the Terminal, off MD‑162 (Aviation Blvd) between S. Camp Meade Road and Andover Road, with more than 10,000 spaces spread across sections and rows. Shuttles run every 10–15 minutes and the ride to the Terminal usually takes about 10 minutes in normal traffic. Daytime and early evening see tighter headways; late night and very early morning can stretch closer to 15–20 minutes.

Shuttle stops are marked by section, and buses loop both Long Term lots before heading straight to the Terminal curb. Reviews note that during big arrival banks, Long Term shuttles tend to appear frequently, but at 1 a.m. one traveler reported waiting about 20 minutes while multiple Garage buses passed first. Plan your return as if the shuttle could be the slowest part of the trip.

Watch out for the “way out there” feel: you’re still on-airport, but you’ll want an extra 15–20 minutes baked in beyond your normal security buffer, especially if you’re parking for a 6 a.m. departure. In winter, snow can cover row markings and several reviewers mention wandering rows trying to relocate their car.

Regulars treat Long Term as the default for week-long trips and longer to lock in that $70 weekly spend. On arrival, they snap a photo of the section/row sign or drop a Google Maps pin before boarding the shuttle. Do the same and you save time in a 10,000-space sea of cars.

Tip: For morning departures, aim to enter the Long Term lot at least 60–75 minutes before boarding time to cover parking, a 10–15 minute shuttle wait, and the 10-minute ride to the Terminal.
