Gate A5 is your landmark for American Style

Right in Terminal A by gate A5, American Style covers the basic airport cravings: burgers, breakfast sandwiches, and grab-and-go snacks. It sits post-security, so you’re fine to head straight here after TSA if you’re flying out of A. Think quick bite before a Southwest or Alaska hop rather than a sit-down meal.

Hours tend to track with Terminal A’s first and last departures, roughly from around 5:00 a.m. to late evening, so you can grab a bacon-egg sandwich before the 6:00 a.m. flights or a burger closer to the 8:00 p.m. bank. Pricing is typical airport markup: expect about $10–$14 for a burger or breakfast combo and $3–$5 for bottled drinks near gate A5 coolers.

Menu is straight-ahead American: cheeseburgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, fries, basic salads, and pre-made wraps in the case by the counter at A5. If you care about freshness, order hot off the grill instead of the cooler wraps, which can sit for a while during slower midday periods between the mid-morning and late-afternoon departures.

There’s limited counter seating facing the concourse near gate A5 and most people just carry food back to the nearby A4–A6 seating area. Lines spike around the 30 minutes before major departures on the A-side, especially those 7:00–9:00 a.m. and 4:00–6:00 p.m. flights, so build in 10–15 minutes if you cut it close on boarding times.

Tip: If your flight leaves from B gates, only walk over to American Style at A5 if you’ve got at least 20 extra minutes; the cross-terminal walk plus a potential line can eat into boarding.
