Roof terrace above Terminal 2A, Ne’o gives you the view
Up on the roof of Terminal 2A, Ne’o sits above the SkyCourt crowds with a direct look over the terminal floor and apron. You’re paying mid-range airport prices ($$) plus a bit extra for that vantage point, which regulars still accept when they want distance from the main food court noise.
Ne’o is landside in Terminal 2, so you need to leave extra time to re-clear security if your flight departs from 2A or 2B; build at least a 30–40 minute buffer after the meal. Hours track typical daytime traffic, roughly breakfast through late evening, and it’s one of the few sit-down spots that isn’t wedged directly into the SkyCourt ring.
Food feedback is “fine, not amazing”: standard European airport mix of pastas, salads, burgers, and bar plates, with mains often landing in the 4,000–6,000 HUF range. Drinks lean on coffee, beer, and wine by the glass, with prices a notch above what you’ll see at the ground-level chains downstairs.
What regulars do: head up here when SkyCourt seating around the central atrium is jammed and every bar table is taken. The elevated space, plus softer lounge-style seating, makes it easier to camp out with a laptop or a book for 60–90 minutes while watching people stream through Terminal 2A below.
Watch out for the view premium: multiple reviews say you’re partly paying for the perspective over the terminal rather than standout cooking. Portions can feel small for the price, and service slows when a bank of departures hits the boards at the same time.
Tip: if you want that rooftop table looking directly over 2A, head up at least 90 minutes before a late‑afternoon wave of flights; by the time the 16:00–18:00 departures load, the window seats are usually gone.
