Gate-side seating in Terminal 2 with full bistro menu

Leroy Bistro sits airside in Terminal 2 at Budapest Liszt Ferenc, a sit-down option when you have more than 45 minutes before boarding. You’re next to the main Schengen gate area, so you can keep an eye on the departure screens without hiking back and forth.

The menu runs through Hungarian standards alongside safer international picks: think goulash soup, schnitzel, burgers, and pasta, with most mains landing in the 4,500–7,000 HUF range. Coffee, soft drinks, and draft beer are airport-priced, around 1,000–2,000 HUF per drink. Portions skew larger than the nearby grab-and-go counters.

Service runs all day in line with Terminal 2’s first and last departures, so early-morning flights around 06:00 and late departures after 21:00 still see tables turning. Figure 25–35 minutes from order to finish for a main course and drink, so this is a sit-down option, not a sprint between boarding calls.

You’ll find a mix of two-tops and four-tops along the glass railing facing the concourse, plus a bar counter with a few stools. Power outlets are limited, so don’t count on charging more than a phone or two while you eat. Card payments in HUF and most major currencies are accepted, and tap-to-pay works without fuss.

If you want a local touch before leaving Hungary, aim for the goulash soup or a pork schnitzel and skip anything that travels poorly, like complex salads right before a tight flight. Beer drinkers usually default to standard Hungarian lagers on tap rather than the pricier bottles.

Practical tip: check your gate on the screens before sitting; some non-Schengen flights at the far end of Terminal 2 can be a 7–10 minute walk from Leroy Bistro once boarding starts.
