Airport Parking Lot

Free terminal parking

Free parking right in front of Terminal T at BTM

The Airport Parking Lot at Bert Mooney Airport sits directly in front of Terminal T, about a 1-minute walk from your car to the doors. It’s a single open surface lot, used by locals who like to park, grab their bag, and be at check-in within roughly 100 feet. No tickets, no gates, and no hunt for the “right” garage or shuttle stop.

Parking here is free, with no posted daily rate and no separate long-term or economy section mentioned in third-party guides. You just pull in, pick a spot, lock up, and walk straight to the terminal. For early Delta or United departures, that 1-minute walk beats building in extra time for a shuttle loop.

This is the only general-use on-site lot at BTM, and there’s no sign of off-airport competitors, coupons, or prepaid apps in the usual mileage blogs or FlyerTalk parking threads. That lack of chatter matches what regulars say: they simply drive up, park in front of Terminal T, and head for security without planning a parking strategy days in advance.

EV drivers should note there are no visible charging stations in recent Google Maps photos of the lot. Reviewers talk about the walk being around 100 feet and the parking being free, but nobody mentions Level 2 plugs or fast chargers. If you need a top-up, handle it in Butte before you roll up to the airport.

Practical tip: Treat parking at BTM like a grocery store stop: show up, park in the front lot, and be at the Terminal T entrance in about a minute, but still give yourself extra time for winter weather on I-15 or local roads.
