Bus

R$2.70 gets you from Plano Piloto to BSB on Line 102

Line 102 runs between the Plano Piloto Bus Station (Rodoviária do Plano Piloto) downtown and Brasília’s Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek International Airport (BSB T1) for a standard city fare of about R$2.70–R$3.00. The bus uses the W3 corridor route, so it’s slower than the express airport lines but dramatically cheaper than a R$40–R$70 rideshare. This is the budget pick if you’ve already landed at the Rodoviária on another intercity bus and want to stretch your cash.

Service typically runs from early morning to late evening, roughly 05:30 to 23:00, with intervals around 20–30 minutes depending on time of day. From the Rodoviária to BSB, the ride normally takes 45–60 minutes, since Line 102 stops several times along W3 Sul. On the airport end, buses stop at the T1 curb outside the main departures area, so you walk a few dozen meters into the terminal for check-in and security.

At the Rodoviária, look for signs showing “102 Aeroporto / Via W3” among the city buses lined up on the platforms that serve W3 Sul routes. Buy or top up a Bilhete Único card at the station kiosks, or pay the driver in cash with small bills under R$20. There’s no luggage hold, so your backpack or carry-on stays with you by your seat or in the aisle space, which matters in peak times around 07:00–09:00 and 17:00–19:00.

Don’t expect air-conditioning on every bus or guaranteed seats if you board around office rush hours; some 102 runs use older vehicles that fill quickly near 108/208 Sul on W3. There’s no onboard Wi‑Fi, charging ports, or toilets, and drivers rarely make English announcements, so have “Aeroporto BSB” and “Rodoviária do Plano Piloto” written down or saved on your phone. Late at night after 22:00, plan a backup like a regular taxi from the Rodoviária if you just missed the previous 102.

Practical tip: If you’re catching a flight, board Line 102 at the Rodoviária at least 2 hours 30 minutes before departure to cover the 45–60 minute bus ride plus 90 minutes for BSB T1 check-in and security.
