Estação da Criança

Toy Library

T1

Gate-side sanity saver near T1 departures

On the public side of Terminal T1, Estação da Criança works like a small toy library where kids can burn energy before security. It focuses on younger children, roughly toddler to early primary school age, with puzzles, cars, dolls, and picture books instead of video games. Prices and exact rules vary, but think low double-digit reais per child for short sessions, with staff keeping an eye on the room while adults sit nearby.

The space usually opens in line with T1’s main departure bank, roughly mid-morning through evening, but hours can shift with airport traffic, especially on weekends and holidays. Because it sits landside, you can use it even if you’re just dropping someone off at BSB or waiting for an arriving flight from another Brazilian city. Ask at the T1 information desk by the main entrance for that day’s schedule before promising kids a visit.

Expect basic playroom furniture, a few low tables, and toy shelves rather than big climbing structures or slides. Most of the toys are light plastic or wood pieces that staff rotate during the day, and there are usually several picture books in Portuguese on one shelf. Bring your own snacks and water; like many small services in BSB’s T1, there’s no in-room café, only vending and food courts a short walk away.

Tip: build in at least 25–30 minutes here so kids actually settle into play before you head to T1 security and your gate.
