Ten-minute walk from Bristol T1 beats the shuttle wait
Mid Stay Parking at Bristol Airport sits a 10-minute walk from T1, so you skip bus timetables and just head straight to check-in. It’s classed as long stay, so it suits trips that run beyond a quick overnight. The walk usually runs 8–12 minutes depending on your pace and which row you park in.
This is a park-your-own car park, so you keep your keys and remember your bay and zone. It’s all outside, standard open-air long stay, with marked lanes and numbered sections. The route to the terminal is signposted, and most people are inside the T1 building in around 10 minutes from locking the car.
Mid Stay works best for breaks of a few days up to a week, where the price undercuts Short Stay but you still want to walk rather than ride a shuttle. It’s usually cheaper than the closer Short Stay options when you hit 3–4 days, but still inside realistic walking distance for families with light luggage.
There’s no shuttle bus as standard, so build in the 8–12 minute walk if you’re on an early 06:00 departure or landing late after 23:00. Surfaces are tarmac with kerbs, so rolling cabin bags cope fine. If you’re dropping someone with limited mobility at the T1 forecourt first, allow an extra 5–10 minutes to loop back and park in Mid Stay.
Tip: Aim to park near the pedestrian exit closest to the terminal path, even if it means driving an extra minute inside the car park; that usually trims 2–3 minutes off the walk to T1.
