Runway views at BOS Terminal B, usually without a crowd
The United Club in Terminal B sits airside near the United gates, and regulars call it one of the calmer domestic clubs at Boston Logan. Flyers on United mainline and regional flights out of B use it as a pit stop between connections more than a long camp-out spot.
Hours generally track the United schedule in Terminal B, opening before the first bank of morning departures and closing after the last evening flights push, so figure roughly 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on a normal day. It’s post-security, so you need a same-day boarding pass out of B to enter, and entry works like any standard United Club: membership, eligible elite status, qualifying premium cabin, or a one-time pass.
The seating runs along windows with a clear view of the airfield at BOS, which is rare at some older United Clubs. Power outlets sit between many of the chairs, so charging a laptop and phone before a transcon from B to SFO or LAX is straightforward. Flyers mention that even during peak afternoon banks, it usually feels calmer than the gate areas outside.
Food follows the usual domestic United Club pattern: basic hot items at meal times, a small salad bar, snacks, and cookies. Don’t come in expecting a full dinner like Terminal E’s premium international lounges; this is more “grab soup, salad, and something carb-y” before a 3-hour BOS–ORD run. Soft drinks, coffee, and tea are complimentary, with standard well drinks, house wine, and basic beer included at the bar.
Paid drinks run a few dollars more for better spirits and upgraded wine, similar to other United Clubs at hubs like EWR and IAH. If you want a serious cocktail before a BOS–DEN flight, look at the premium list at the bar, as that tends to be better value than paying Boston terminal prices at a random gate bar in B.
Most regulars dip in for 30–60 minutes between flights from places like DCA or CLE before continuing onward, using the quieter space to clear email or grab a quick snack instead of sitting in the boarding scrum at B20 or B24. It’s not the sort of lounge you’d burn three hours in unless weather hits and BOS operations slow down.
One tip: if you land in another terminal, remember BOS doesn’t have airside connections between A, B, C, and E; you’ll exit, take the walkway or shuttle to Terminal B, and re-clear security, so build at least 40–45 minutes into your plan if the United Club is part of your connection strategy.
