Tibb's Frankie

T2’s Tibb's Frankie means a quick Mumbai-style roll before boarding

Tibb's Frankie in Terminal 2 serves the same street-food-style frankie rolls you see across Mumbai, but here you get them airside, past security. It sits in the main departures food court area of T2, so you’re fine even on an international itinerary. Think handheld wraps on soft paratha-style bread, filled with spiced vegetables, paneer, egg, or chicken.

Pricing stays airport-reasonable for BOM: a basic veg frankie usually lands around local mall pricing, and even loaded chicken or paneer versions tend to undercut most full sit-down spots in T2 by a good 100–200 INR. Portions are snack-sized, so assume 1 roll if you just need a holdover before a 2–3 hour flight, 2 rolls if you’re skipping the airline meal entirely.

Ordering is fast-food style: pay at the counter, wait a few minutes while they griddle and roll, then carry it back to common seating in the T2 food court. Expect a 5–10 minute turnaround even in peak evening banks when BOM runs heavy with departures from about 21:00 to 02:00. Most fillings run medium-spiced by Indian standards, so anyone spice-shy may want to request “less masala” while ordering.

If you like classic Mumbai street flavors, the paneer tikka and chicken frankie versions are usually the safest bet, with more flavor than the plain veg options and better value than adding extra sides. Skip loading up on soft drinks here; airport pricing on bottled beverages in T2 can run 50–70% above city shops, while the food premium is smaller.

Practical tip: hit Tibb's Frankie after clearing security in Terminal 2 but before you walk all the way down to the far international gates in the 60s–70s; doubling back from those remote piers can easily cost you 10–15 minutes of extra walking time.
