Terminal 2 caffeine fix without straying far from your gate
Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in Terminal 2 sits airside, so you’re fine to head here after security and immigration without risking a missed boarding call. It’s one of the more recognizable international chains in BOM T2, which makes it an easy meeting point if you’re syncing up before a 01:45 or 03:10 red-eye out of the international piers.
Expect standard mall-style pricing: a basic brewed coffee usually runs in the ₹180–₹220 range, while larger flavored lattes and ice-blended drinks push closer to ₹350–₹450. Food skews to display-case items like sandwiches, croissants, and cake slices; you won’t find full thali plates here, but it does fine for a light bite when you’ve already eaten at home and just want something with your drink.
Menu board is heavy on espresso drinks and the chain’s signature ice-blended coffee and tea options. If you’re trying to stay sharp for a 6–8 hour sector to Europe, a double espresso or cappuccino is usually faster to prepare than the more elaborate frappé-style options that can tie up the blender for 5 minutes. Tea drinkers get the usual English breakfast, green tea, and flavored blends, but don’t expect deep, local chai variations beyond a generic “masala” version.
Turnaround time is decent for straight coffee, often under 5 minutes during mid-day banks, but can spike to 15+ when several widebodies to London, Dubai, and Singapore load simultaneously from T2. Seating is limited and mostly café-style tables, so think “sip and scroll” more than long laptop sessions; power outlets are hit-or-miss along the perimeter and not every table has one.
Tip: order and pay in one go on card or UPI, then step two or three meters to the side of the counter so you can hear your name while still keeping an eye on nearby FIDS for last-minute gate changes in Terminal 2.
