₹80 masala chai in T2 beats airplane tea every time

Chai Point in Terminal 2 sits airside in the departures area, and it’s exactly where you grab a quick chai before boarding at BOM. Expect classic masala chai, ginger chai, and green tea, usually in the ₹70–₹120 range, plus small bites like samosas and rolls under ₹200. It runs through typical T2 operating hours, so for most daytime and evening departures you’ll see it open.

Tea is the point here, not coffee. Their masala chai comes in paper cups, strong and sweet by default, similar to street-side tapri style but with airport pricing. If you want it less sweet, say so when you order; they’ll usually adjust the sugar. You can also grab bottled water or a cold drink in the ₹40–₹100 bracket, which saves you from airline cart markups later in the flight.

Food-wise, think quick grab-and-go. Vegetable samosas, kachori, and paneer rolls typically sit in the ₹120–₹200 band and hold you over on short hops to DEL, BLR, or domestic connections in Terminal 2. Portions are snack-sized, not meal-sized, so don’t plan on skipping an actual lunch or dinner if you have a long-haul sector on airlines like Vistara or Air India.

Service time is usually under 5 minutes unless there’s a bunch of people from a just-called boarding group. Payment is contactless-friendly: Indian cards, UPI, and international cards are generally accepted, and minimum spend is usually around ₹100. Receipts print quickly, which matters if you’re expensing a work trip or tracking GST on a corporate ticket.

Tip: if your gate at T2 is one of the far ones beyond the long moving walkways, grab your chai and snack near the main concourse first; walking 10–15 minutes to a distant gate with a full hot cup in hand is how people end up wearing their tea.
