Some Boise hotels send shuttles right to the Main Terminal curb

Several Boise hotels run their own shuttles to and from Boise Air Terminal/Gowen Field, picking up outside the Main Terminal. These are hotel-operated vehicles, not an airport shuttle, so you book and confirm everything directly with your hotel, usually at the time you reserve your room.

Most hotel shuttles group flights by time and run on a schedule, often every 30–60 minutes, instead of circling nonstop. Some properties run early for the first departures around 5:00–6:00 a.m., while others stop service by around 11:00 p.m.. Ask your specific hotel for its first and last shuttle times before you land in Boise.

At BOI, hotel shuttles usually meet passengers on the lower-level arrivals roadway outside baggage claim in the Main Terminal. After you grab your bag from the single baggage claim hall, walk out to the commercial vehicle area and look for signs marked “Hotel Shuttles” or vehicles with your hotel’s name on the side or windshield.

Most hotels include the shuttle in the room rate, so the ride between BOI and your hotel is typically free for registered guests. Tips are still common; plan on a few dollars in cash per ride if the driver helps with luggage or if you have large items like ski gear or bike cases coming off the Main Terminal belt.

Some Boise hotels require you to call from the terminal once you land; others ask for your flight number in advance so they can watch arrival times. If your hotel uses a call-in system, expect a wait of about 15–25 minutes from the time you phone the front desk to the shuttle’s arrival at the Main Terminal curb.

Tip: Before you fly to BOI, confirm three details with your hotel in writing: shuttle hours, pickup location at the Main Terminal, and the phone number you should call on arrival if the van is not already waiting outside baggage claim.
