Gate-side prices without duty free drama at Monop’daily
Monop’daily sits airside in Bordeaux–Mérignac, after security in Hall A, and feels more like a small city supermarket than an airport kiosk. You get supermarket-style pricing on basics: bottled water around €2, sandwiches usually in the €4–€6 range, and chocolate bars at normal Monop’ levels, not lounge-bar markup. It’s the easiest place in Hall A to stock up without queuing at multiple vending machines.
Opening hours track the morning wave of departures, typically from around 05:30 until the last flights clear in the late evening, especially on peak days with late Ryanair and easyJet operations in Hall A. You’ll see the usual French grab-and-go suspects: pre-packed jambon-beurre, croque-monsieur in plastic clamshells, yogurts, fruit pots, plus canned drinks and small 25–33cl wine and beer options that fit carry-on rules out of BOD.
Packaged snacks dominate the space, so think “fill your bag in five minutes” rather than made-to-order. Expect shelves of crisps, biscuits, Haribo-style sweets, and a few single-serve salads. Coffee comes from a basic machine near the counter, closer to €2 than €4, so it undercuts many sit-down cafés in Hall B. Card payments are quickest here; contactless terminals handle foreign cards with no issues reported on non-Euro Visa and Mastercard.
If you’re flying from Hall A, stop here before you walk toward the farther gates, because options thin out past some of the later stands; do one consolidated Monop’daily run so you’re not backtracking with boarding already started.
