First 20 minutes free at the Official Short-Stay Car Park
This is Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport’s own short-stay car park, run by the airport, and priced for drop-offs, pick-ups, and quick errands rather than long trips. It sits directly in front of the terminal zone that serves Hall A, Hall B, and the low‑cost billi terminal, so walking time from your car to departures is just a few minutes.
The Official Short-Stay Car Park is open 24/7 in line with Bordeaux–Mérignac’s flight schedule, so late arrivals after a 23:00 landing or early 06:00 departures are fine. Entry and exit use barriers with ticketing on arrival; you pay at automatic machines or the payment booth before leaving, then have a few minutes to drive out.
Pricing is stepped by the minute and hour, with the first 20 minutes usually free or very low‑cost, then charges increasing after the first hour in a way that quickly makes it uneconomical beyond a few hours. If you’re staying more than 3–4 hours, the airport’s official long‑stay or economy car parks tend to work out cheaper based on the current tariff tables on the Bordeaux airport website.
This car park is post-road-access but of course pre-security, sitting just off the terminal forecourt for Hall A, Hall B, and billi check‑in. That makes it useful if you need to walk inside to meet someone at arrivals, print documents at a landside kiosk, or speak with an airline desk before a flight. Signage on the airport ring road clearly shows “Short-Stay” and “P0/P1” style zones, so watch for those markers.
Tip: if you’re only dropping off, use the Official Short-Stay Car Park instead of lingering at the curb; the free or low‑cost first 20 minutes buys you enough time to handle bags, say goodbye, and still be back on the A630 within half an hour.
