Marked disability bays sit right next to Brisbane International

Accessible Parking at Brisbane Airport’s International terminal sits directly beside the terminal building, so you’re a short roll or walk from check-in and arrivals. Bays are wider than standard spots, giving extra space to open doors fully and manage wheelchairs, walkers, or mobility aids without squeezing between cars.

These disability permit bays are in the same ground-level and multi-level structures used by other public car parks at the International terminal, but the marked Accessible Parking rows are closest to lifts and terminal access points. Look for the blue wheelchair symbols and matching signage as you enter; staff at the entry booths know the locations if you need directions.

To use these bays you must display a valid Australian disability parking permit, with the permit clearly visible on the dashboard or hanging tag. Airport security does check occasionally, and cars without a permit risk fines or being asked to move. Standard terminal car park pricing applies here, so there’s no surcharge just because the bays sit closer to the doors.

Because the bays sit next to lifts and pedestrian bridges into the International terminal, drop-off and pick-up are usually smoother than circling the public drop-off lane. If you’re travelling with someone using a wheelchair or mobility scooter, you can stage gear at the car and move at your own pace instead of rushing at the curb.

Tip: Drive slowly as you enter the International terminal car park and follow signs for disability or accessible parking; the most useful bays go quickly during morning long-haul departure banks, so aim to arrive at least 30 minutes earlier than you normally would.
