Next to T2, this is BLR’s dedicated electric car lot

T2 Electric Car Parking sits right beside Kempegowda’s Terminal 2, so the walk from your charging spot to departures is just a few minutes on foot. It’s tagged as a remote option in airport maps, but in practice it feels more “next door” than off-site. If you’re flying out of T2 on airlines like Air India or Vistara, this is the most logical place to leave an EV.

This lot is purpose-built for electric vehicles, with marked charging bays grouped in clearly signed sections near T2. Expect standard airport pricing rather than budget off-site rates; you’re paying for proximity to the terminal and the ability to top up while you’re away. Because it’s beside the terminal, drop-off and pick-up by app cabs or family is straightforward and doesn’t involve shuttle buses.

Signage to T2 Electric Car Parking appears on the main airport access road several hundred metres before the T2 departures ramp. Follow the signs for T2 first, then the EV parking boards, instead of aiming for general car parking by T1. If your passenger is departing from T1, factor in that the two terminals are a short drive apart on the same airport loop road and you may need 5–10 extra minutes to connect between them.

There’s no consistent public data yet on charging speeds or the exact number of EV bays, so don’t assume you’ll get a fast charger right away at peak evening bank times. Build a little time buffer at drop-off in case you circle once or twice to find an open spot. One practical move: screenshot your parking location on your phone before walking to T2 so you’re not hunting for the car in the dark when you land back in Bengaluru.
