Next to T1, this is BLR’s dedicated electric-car lot
T1 Electric Car Parking sits right beside Kempegowda’s Terminal 1, so you can walk to departures in a few minutes without waiting for a shuttle. It’s classed as a remote option in the airport’s parking map, but in practice you’re closer to T1 than some of the mixed-use car parks. This is the only BLR facility labelled specifically for electric vehicles in the T1 zone.
The lot serves Terminal 1 only, which handles many domestic flights plus some international services. If you’re flying out of T2, factor in extra time to transfer from the T1 side, as you’re not right at the newer terminal doors. Signage on airport approach roads points you to T1, then to electric parking, so watch for those boards instead of following generic parking arrows.
As a remote-type facility, T1 Electric Car Parking usually prices below the closest premium bays right at the curb, so it works better for multi-day trips than for a 30-minute drop-off. BLR’s standard parking charges are hourly with a daily cap, and this lot follows that structure. Pay stations near the pedestrian exit accept cards and UPI; keep your entry ticket dry, as the machines scan the barcode.
Security staff patrol this section along with other T1 parking, and entry is controlled by boom barriers. Lighting levels match the main T1 surface lots, so late-night arrivals around 23:00 don’t feel like an afterthought area. There’s no dedicated waiting lounge here, just open-air parking, so step inside the terminal if you want air conditioning or seating.
Tip: If you’re dropping someone at T1 and not leaving the car, use the regular departures lane and skip this lot; T1 Electric Car Parking makes more sense once your stop crosses an hour.
