After security in BLI’s Main terminal, Scotty Brown’s is it
This is Bellingham’s only full-service sit-down spot airside, labeled “Scotty Brown’s Airport Lounge” but operating as a standard bar-restaurant. It sits past security in the Main terminal, so you can’t use it landside while waiting for check-in to open. Think table service and a bar rather than a frequent-flyer lounge with showers or quiet rooms.
The airport guide calls it “full-service dining with bar/lounge airside only,” and that’s accurate: order off a menu, grab a drink, then walk a few minutes to any BLI gate. Prices track with typical US airport bar numbers, so expect mains in the mid-teens to low twenties and drinks at standard draft and cocktail rates. There’s no day-pass, priority scheme, or airline status access here; you just pay your tab like any other restaurant.
Hours matter at BLI because the airport notes the airside restaurant and shops reportedly close early in the evening, sometimes well before the last late-night departures. Once Scotty Brown’s closes, you’re down to vending machines in the terminal and whatever you carried through the TSA checkpoint. If you have a late flight, eat and grab water here before 7–8 pm to avoid rolling into a snack desert.
Wi-Fi at the airport runs on the “PogoZone-Free-HighSpeed” network, and that covers the seating at Scotty Brown’s as well. Regulars camp at a table with a charger, use the free connection to catch up on email or streaming, and treat the place as a regular airport bar with better chairs than the public gate area. Just don’t expect power at every single seat, and bring a battery pack if your flight time creeps past two hours.
There are zero showers anywhere in BLI according to Sleeping in Airports, and the same guide says there are no dedicated sleep or quiet zones in the terminal. Scotty Brown’s doesn’t change that; it’s still bar stools and dining chairs, not recliners or lie-flat corners. Overnight travelers who ignore the early closing note end up stretched across metal benches near the gates with vending machine snacks and that same “PogoZone-Free-HighSpeed” Wi-Fi.
Practical tip: treat Scotty Brown’s as your last real meal and drink stop after security at BLI, and time your visit so you’re paid up and walking out about 30–40 minutes before boarding starts.
