It runs 10:00 to 22:00 daily, so you’re covered for midday layovers and most evening departures. This is a sit-down spot, not a kiosk, and the bill lands in the $$$ range compared to the rest of the terminal.
The move here is the Craft Beer Flight, usually four small pours that let you sample what’s on tap without committing to a single pint. Expect pricing to land closer to big-city bar tabs than downtown León; you’re paying airport plus “local brewery” markup. Food is more bar-snack territory than full restaurant, so think something to keep your drink company rather than a proper three-course meal.
Local Brewery is inside T1’s secure area, so you need a same-day boarding pass to get in; this matters at BJX, where some restaurants sit landside. With a Google-style rating hovering around 4.9 out of 5, it’s one of the better-reviewed spots in the building. Service pace syncs with airport time: they know you might only have 45 minutes between boarding calls and usually keep an eye on your gate announcements.
If you’re watching the clock, budget 30–40 minutes here for a flight and a quick bite before walking back to gates used by Aeroméxico, Volaris, or Viva. Tabs for one drink and a snack can easily hit mid- to high-USD teens once converted from pesos. Seats face the concourse, so you can keep an eye on boarding lines without hovering at the counter.
Tip: Ask which beers are actually local to Guanajuato or Bajío; build your Craft Beer Flight around those and skip anything you can find in a regular Mexico City bar.
