Opening hours usually track early departures, often from around first wave check-in to late evening flights in T1. Pricing is typical UK airport markup: meal deals sit above high-street levels and paperbacks can run a pound or two higher than in town. Still, it’s good for a £6–£7 grab-and-go food combo when your gate is already showing “boarding soon.”

Book-wise, you’ll see current top 10 fiction, crime series, plus some quick-read non-fiction and kids’ titles; don’t expect deep backlist or niche genres. One tip: grab your book and water here before you walk to the 50s gates, where options thin out and you may not want to walk back for reading material.
