Ryanair to Milano Centrale in about 60 minutes, no changes

Orioshuttle runs a direct Bergamo (BGY) T1 to Milano Centrale bus in around 60 minutes, aimed squarely at people stepping off Ryanair and just wanting the first coach into town. One-way tickets usually land in the €10–12 range, so you’re paying for simplicity rather than shaving off a euro versus Terravision or Autostradale.

Buses run roughly every 20–30 minutes from about 04:00 until around 23:30, covering most of BGY’s first and last departures. Multiple Reddit threads say Orioshuttle and Terravision to Centrale are “basically the same,” so if you miss one brand’s 14:00 bus, you’ll often see another operator a few minutes either side.

From T1 arrivals, follow the bus icons outside; Orioshuttle stops are signed near the main coach bays directly in front of the terminal doors, and a Google review notes it was “easy to find outside arrivals and dropped us directly at Centrale.” At Milano Centrale, expect drop-off on the station’s bus forecourt, a short walk (under 5 minutes) into the main concourse and Metro lines M2/M3.

You can buy tickets online for a specific departure time or from staff by the stop; some frequent flyers only pre-book for busy Friday–Sunday periods and otherwise just walk up and pay cash or card. Several travellers report that if you miss your booked slot at Bergamo, staff often move you to the next bus with free seats, though this isn’t guaranteed and depends on loads.

Watch out for crowding: multiple Google reviews mention full coaches and luggage piled into aisles, especially right after banked Ryanair arrivals around late morning and early evening. Buses are timetabled, but reviews say they sometimes leave as soon as all seats fill or a few minutes later if boarding is still ongoing, so don’t cut it close.

Traffic into Milan can be heavy; riders report runs stretching past 60 minutes when the A4 chokes up, even if some timetables tease shorter times. Build a buffer of at least 90 minutes from your scheduled landing at BGY to any fixed-time train out of Milano Centrale, and in peak weekend blocks, just buy a ticket for whichever Bergamo–Centrale coach is leaving first.

  • Step 1: Land at BGY T1 and exit arrivals to the forecourt bus bays.
  • Step 2: Find the Orioshuttle stand/sign for Milano Centrale and check the next departure time.
  • Step 3: Buy a ticket (online QR, kiosk, or staff at the stop) for about €10–12 one way.
  • Step 4: Queue early if you arrive with a big Ryanair wave; seats are first-come.
  • Step 5: Load large bags into the underfloor hold and keep the claim tag they hand you.
  • Step 6: Ride around 60 minutes to Milano Centrale, then follow signs from the bus area into the station for trains or Metro.

One tip: landing in a busy block (late morning or Sunday evening), pre-book a time and still walk to the stand 15–20 minutes early so you’re near the front of the queue if the bus fills.
