VIP Area SACBO

Main Terminal Open · 04:30-21:30 Day pass €23 online / €25 walk-up

BA and pay-in passengers default to this first-floor lounge

Just past security in T1, the VIP Area SACBO sits airside on the first floor among the shops, before Schengen passport control, and opens daily from 04:30 to 21:30. BA and other legacy carriers send their premium passengers here by default, with HelloSky used as overflow when this one gets “pretty rammed.”

Access works on status, contracts and paid entry: walk-up is €25 at the desk, or €23 if you buy online vouchers in advance, with locals mentioning a five‑visit pack at €105. It sits in the main terminal, airside but before emigration, so it covers both Schengen and non‑Schengen flights out of Bergamo.

Expect a compact room with more seats than HelloSky but still tight during BA banks around morning and evening peaks. Regulars say there’s usually a chair somewhere in the early afternoon lull between roughly 13:00–16:00, which is when the space feels least stressed and the queue at the buffet is short.

Food is basic: cold snacks, packaged items, and a couple of simple hot options that reviewers call “fine for a quick bite” but not something to build your entire pre‑flight around. Drinks skew better than the food, with self‑serve soft drinks, coffee, and standard wine and spirits included in the €23–€25 entry price.

Wi‑Fi and power matter more here than the buffet. BA regulars say they duck in for 20–30 minutes, grab a drink, send emails on the free lounge Wi‑Fi, then move to the gate early. Power outlets run mainly along walls and a few central clusters, so plug in as soon as you sit if you spot a socket.

Watch out for: crowding before BA and other legacy departures, plus that 21:30 closing time, which leaves later Ryanair or Wizz Air flights with no lounge option. Also remember the lounge is before Schengen exit control, so non‑Schengen passengers should leave at least 20 extra minutes to clear passports and walk to distant gates.

Practical play: on a busy BA evening departure, head straight here after security, take the first seat you find with an outlet, and set an alarm for 40 minutes before departure to give yourself a calm walk through passport control to your gate.
