Two EV charging spots sit right in the main BGM lot
Greater Binghamton (BGM) has a pair of marked EV charging stations in the primary airport parking area, a short walk from the terminal entrance. You park in the regular lot, then plug in at one of the dedicated EV spots near the front rows, with standard airport parking rules applying.
There’s no separate posted daily rate for the EV Charging Stations beyond the regular lot fee (listed on-site by day), so you pay the normal /day parking charge at BGM. Charging itself may have a separate fee structure depending on the network in use, so expect to activate via card, app, or RFID, just like a public city charger.
Because BGM is a smaller field with limited parking zones, the EV spaces can be taken quickly at peak times like early morning departures before 8:00 a.m. If you’re on a tight schedule, plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before you’d normally show up, so you have time to circle once or twice and still make the short walk to check-in.
There’s no separate gate for this parking; you enter through the same primary lot access used by all BGM travelers. The EV stalls sit within easy rolling distance of the single passenger terminal, so you can pull your bags straight from your trunk and be at the doors in a couple of minutes.
Tip: Grab a quick photo of your charger number and the /day board at the lot entrance so you remember your exact spot and the current rate when paying at the terminal or kiosk on your return.
