EV Charging Parking

Two-minute walk from T1, with EV chargers at the bays

EV Charging Parking at Belfast International sits right next to the T1 terminal, so you walk from car to check-in in roughly 2–3 minutes. It’s a surface car park with marked electric bays, so you’re not hunting through a multistorey or shuttle map before an early flight.

This is an official on-airport car park by BFS, positioned beside the main terminal building at Belfast International Airport (T1). Being on the airport estate, it runs 24/7 in line with flight schedules, so late-night arrivals and 05:00 departures are both workable without worrying about access times.

Spaces here are standard-width bays with EV charging units installed at the parking spots, so you can plug in as soon as you park. Because it’s immediately next to T1, you keep bags in the car until the last minute, then walk straight to the departure doors in a couple of minutes.

This car park sits closer to the terminal doors than most off-airport options around BFS, which often require a shuttle ride of 5–10 minutes. If you want your EV topped up while you’re away, this beats leaving it at a remote lot with no charging and spending another 15–20 minutes each way on transfers.

There aren’t many public details on charging speeds or pricing, so assume standard airport premium rates and check your booking confirmation for the tariff. If your car charges slowly (for example, under 7 kW), plan for longer stays rather than trying to “splash and dash” on a same-day drop-off.

Tip: Book the EV Charging Parking in advance and aim to arrive at least 2 hours before departure from T1 so you have time to plug in, confirm charging has started on your dash, and still walk the 2–3 minutes to security without rushing.
