X7 runs every few minutes between BER and U-Bahn Rudow

The X7 Expressbus links Berlin Brandenburg Airport (Terminals 1–2) with U-Bahn station Rudow (U7) in about 9–12 minutes, filling the gap for short hops where rail feels like overkill. Buses stop directly outside Terminal 1’s arrivals level, signed clearly as X7 toward “Rudow” and “Flughafen BER.”

The line runs roughly every 5–10 minutes during the day, with slightly thinner headways early morning and late evening, and operates from the first to last U7 services at Rudow. That frequency makes it easier to just walk out of baggage claim in T1 or T2 and catch the next bus instead of timing a train.

A standard Berlin AB single ticket around €3–€4 (depending on zone choice and current BVG pricing) covers the X7 ride, and the bus accepts the same paper and mobile BVG tickets used on S-Bahn and U-Bahn. Ticket machines sit at Terminal 1 arrivals and at the Rudow stop, and you can also buy via the BVG app before you step onto the bus.

On the airport side, the X7 stop is at the Terminal 1–2 bus station, signed alongside other BVG and regional lines; on the city side, it terminates at Rudow U-Bahn, right next to the U7 platforms. That U7 link is handy if you’re staying in neighborhoods like Neukölln or Kreuzberg, where a direct suburban train from BER doesn’t always land you close.

The X7 is a normal city bus with low-floor access and space for roll-aboards, but it’s not a full-on airport coach with massive luggage bays. If you’re rolling one big suitcase and a backpack, you’re fine; a family of four with giant checked bags might find the S-Bahn or FEX train from BER Terminal 1–2 station easier.

For timing, assume 15–20 minutes total from leaving the arrivals hall at BER to standing on the U7 platform at Rudow, including a short walk and average wait. Flip that when heading to the airport and add a buffer for security: aim to board the X7 at Rudow at least 75–90 minutes before a Schengen departure, or earlier for long-haul.

One tip: buy your BVG ticket while still in the terminal (machine or app) so you can head straight onto the X7 when it pulls in at Rudow or BER without fumbling at the curb.
