Gate-side caffeine fix near BDL’s Terminal A concourse

This Starbucks sits airside in Terminal A, an easy stop if you’re flying American, Southwest, Delta, or Breeze from Bradley International. It’s before most of the A-gates, so you can grab coffee on the way to anything from A1 to A25 without doubling back. Expect typical airport pricing: brewed coffee around $3–$4 and espresso drinks running closer to $5–$7 depending on size and add-ons.

Hours at BDL flex a bit with the early bank of departures, and this Starbucks usually opens in time for the 5:00–6:00 a.m. flights out of Terminal A. It often stays open into the early evening push, roughly until the last mainline flights depart after 8:00–9:00 p.m. If you have a 6:00 a.m. boarding time at an A-gate, plan to hit this spot right after security rather than hunting near the gate.

Menu is the standard Starbucks lineup: hot and iced espresso drinks, brewed coffee, teas, Refreshers, and seasonal specials. You’ll also see a fridge with bottled drinks and milk, plus the usual pastry case with breakfast sandwiches, bagels, and protein boxes. Expect the egg bites and bacon sandwiches to go first during the 5:30–7:30 a.m. rush, and don’t count on every seasonal Frappuccino flavor on heavy traffic days.

Lines spike right after TSA opens and again around the 7:00–8:00 a.m. departure wave, when several A-gates board at once. A mobile-order option sometimes pauses at airports during peak volume, so don’t rely on the app if you’re inside security and your flight boards in under 20 minutes. If there’s a long queue of 15–20 people, you’re usually looking at a 10–15 minute wait for drinks.

Tip: Clear security in Terminal A, head straight here, and only then check your gate; you’ll pass this Starbucks again if your flight out of BDL gets reassigned along the A concourse.
