Quarter-mile walk gets you from Economy Lot 2 to BDL
Figure about a 5–7 minute walk from Economy Lot 2 to the main terminal at Bradley (BDL), roughly a quarter mile from the center of the lot to the doors. This is on-airport economy parking, so you stay on airport roads the whole time and skip the shuttle loop entirely.
Economy Lot 2 sits east of the terminal area, in the cluster often called the old Park and Walk / Lot B in older posts, and serves both Terminal A and B check-in areas via the same sidewalk route. You park, lock up, and follow marked pedestrian paths toward the terminal instead of waiting for a bus.
This is true economy parking: pricing tracks below the garage and closer to the long-term lots, while still keeping you within that 7 minute walk range. If you’re fit, carrying one standard roller and a backpack, that quarter-mile distance feels similar to parking on an outer floor of a big garage and walking in.
There is no shuttle service to Economy Lot 2, which is the entire trade-off. FlyerTalk regulars point out that if you misjudge the weather or end up in a far-out row, you walk the whole way with bags in rain, snow, or July humidity. If you have mobility issues or oversize luggage, this lot becomes a bad deal fast.
Regulars who use Economy Lot 2 often scout Google Maps or satellite imagery before a trip, then aim for rows closest to the main pedestrian path leading toward the terminal. One practical move: drop passengers and heavy bags at Departures at Terminal A first, then loop back to park in Lot 2 and do the 7 minute walk solo.
