Travellers mention paying noticeably more for a burger-and-fries combo here than at cafés in Hamilton, even though it’s all disposable trays and self-bussing. Alcohol options live at the adjacent small bar, but soft drinks and bottled water are sold at this counter too.

Lines spike fast when two or three flights board around the same time, so a 20–30 minute wait for a burger isn’t unusual around midday. Service slows further because food is cooked to order in a small prep area. If your boarding pass shows a tight 45-minute window from security to departure, you’re gambling if you join a long queue here. Pastries and pre-packaged snacks move quicker than grill items.

Many eat properly in St. George’s or Hamilton, then use this stand for a soda, fries, or one last coffee before a New York or London flight. Others grab a small item here and pair it with chips or granola bars brought from town to dodge the higher prices.

Tip: If your flight leaves in the late afternoon or evening, buy something in town first and then check Snack Bar right after duty free; if the shutters are already down, you still have food in your bag and you’re not stuck with just airplane snacks.
