McDonald's

T2

Big Mac craving before boarding at T2?

This McDonald's sits in Terminal T2 at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport, so you don’t have to shuttle over to T1 for a familiar burger and fries. It’s standard airport McDonald’s: counter service, fast turnover, and the same core menu you’d expect in Spain, including burgers, McNuggets, fries, and McFlurry desserts. Expect higher airport pricing than downtown Barcelona, but still cheaper than most sit-down options in T2.

You’ll find the usual combo meals with a burger, fries, and drink, plus coffee drinks similar to what you’d see at a McCafé in the city. A basic meal here normally undercuts many terminal cafés selling sandwiches by a few euros. If you just need a quick bite between short-haul flights using T2, this is one of the more predictable options in the terminal, especially for kids or picky eaters.

Service pace at airport McDonald’s in Spain typically runs fast during off-peak hours but can slow noticeably around midday and early evening when multiple flights out of T2 board within 60–90 minutes. Lines can stretch 10–15 people deep, and seating around the restaurant fills quickly. Expect some noise and tray juggling if you’re traveling with carry-on bags and a backpack.

Since this branch sits in T2, it mainly serves low-cost and regional carriers using that terminal, so check your boarding pass before walking over from T1. If you’re transferring between T1 and T2 by shuttle bus, add at least 15–20 minutes each way; in that case, eating at McDonald’s only makes sense if your flight actually departs from T2.

Tip: If your gate is already posted in T2, look at the walking time on the FIDS screens and order something you can carry—fries and a burger are easier to eat near your gate than a full tray meal when the terminal gets busy.
