Carlsberg Bar

T1

T1’s Carlsberg Bar sits airside as a beer-first stop

In Terminal T1 at Barcelona–El Prat, Carlsberg Bar sits airside after security as a straightforward spot to grab a lager and a bar snack before boarding. You’ll see the familiar green Carlsberg branding from the main departures walkway, so it’s easy to spot if you’re moving between Schengen gates in T1.

The focus skews heavily to Carlsberg-branded beer on tap and in bottles, along with standard European lagers and soft drinks. Food typically follows a simple bar template: sandwiches, basic hot items, and packaged snacks at airport markups, often several euros higher than in central Barcelona. Expect to pay noticeably more here than you would on La Rambla, but in line with other T1 bars.

Carlsberg Bar usually opens early in the morning to catch the first wave of departures out of T1 and stays open into the late evening bank of flights. That covers the main long-haul departures from airlines using T1, so you can usually rely on it for a beer at 07:00 or a final drink around 21:00 before an overnight sector.

Seating leans toward high-top tables and bar stools rather than full restaurant setups, and it’s all within the open-plan T1 departures hall. That means you’ll hear boarding calls from nearby gates and general terminal noise. It works for a 20–30 minute stop with a drink and a quick bite, less so if you want a quiet hour of laptop time.

Practical tip: Carlsberg Bar is inside security in T1, so clear security first, check your gate on the BCN screens, then decide if you have at least 30 minutes spare before walking over for a drink and snack.
