Starbucks

Before Check-in

Before check-in coffee stop at BAH that’s actually open

This Starbucks sits landside at Bahrain International Airport, before check-in for T1, so you can grab a drink even if you’re only dropping someone off or arriving early from Manama. It’s one of the few named pre-security options on the airport’s own map, which makes it the default coffee plan if you’re meeting family or a driver in the public area.

Being before check-in, it serves both departing and arriving passengers, plus anyone using the public terminal facilities in T1. Expect the standard Starbucks lineup: espresso drinks, brewed coffee, bottled water, and grab-and-go pastries in the 1–3 BHD range depending on size and item. It runs typical airport hours aligned with flight banks, so early morning departures around 04:00–06:00 usually find it open.

Prices land a bit higher than high-street Manama branches, in line with airport markups across BAH, with a latte easily crossing 2 BHD for larger sizes. That said, portions match global Starbucks standards, and you’ll see the usual seasonal drinks and syrups, not a stripped-down menu. Seating in the public hall is finite, so during evening banks around 20:00–23:00, expect to hover for a table.

Because it’s landside, you can’t rely on this Starbucks during tight connections within T1; you’d need to clear immigration and security again, which adds at least 30–45 minutes. Think of it as a pre-check-in caffeine stop or a place to kill 20–30 minutes before your airline counter opens, not part of an airside food run.

Tip: if you’re meeting someone from a Gulf Air arrival in T1 and expect delays at baggage claim, grab your drink here first; it’s one of the few predictable coffee options before you reach the arrivals exit doors.
