T1 food court regulars look for KFC but may not find it

As of 2024, Bahrain Airport’s own dining list for T1 does not clearly confirm a KFC outlet, even though some older maps and blogs mention it in the main departures food court. Treat any “KFC at BAH” references as outdated unless you spot a current sign on the concourse.

Most fast food in T1 departures clusters around the central food court near gates in the early 20s, with brands like McDonald’s and other international chains confirmed on the official bahrainairport.bh site. If you only have a 45-minute connection, it’s safer to plan on those known options instead of hunting for an unlisted KFC.

Bahrain International Airport is a single-terminal field coded T1, so any KFC, if present, would sit post-security in the main departures hall rather than landside. That means you don’t need to exit immigration or re-clear security just to check, but you also shouldn’t leave a gate like 16 or 22 too close to boarding time just to roam for chicken.

Price-wise, fast food at BAH typically runs higher than city outlets; a basic burger or wrap combo from confirmed chains can hit BHD 3–4. Expect any KFC bucket or box, if you locate one, to sit in that same price band or a notch above compared with downtown Manama branches.

Because there are no current traveler quotes or menu photos tying a live KFC to T1, treat it as a “maybe” rather than a guarantee. Use the airport’s 2024 dining list and terminal screens as your first reference, then ask an information desk by security if you still specifically want KFC.

Tip: before walking off from a gate like 19 or 21, check the nearest directory board; if KFC isn’t listed by name on that screen, assume you’ll be eating at another chain and save the search time.
