Most ATL airport hotels run shuttles every 15–30 minutes
The Hotel Airport Shuttle system at ATL uses courtesy buses that pick up at designated zones outside both the Domestic and International terminals. Most major hotels near the airport send shuttles on fixed loops about every 15–30 minutes, so you rarely need a reservation, but you may wait a full half hour late at night or early morning.
At the Domestic Terminal
At the International Terminal (Concourse F), hotel courtesy shuttles use a separate Ground Transportation zone signed for “Hotel Shuttles.” Some hotels send separate buses to F, while others direct you to first ride the free ATL terminal connector service back to the Domestic side, then board their hotel shuttle from there, which can add 20–30 minutes.
How to use the Hotel Airport Shuttle at ATL
- 1. After landing, follow signs to Baggage Claim at either the Domestic or International terminal, then follow Ground Transportation signs down to the curb.
- 2. Look for “Hotel/Motel” or “Hotel Shuttle” signs on the Ground Transportation level and walk to the lane marked for courtesy shuttles.
- 3. Find your hotel name on the posted board or watch for a shuttle with your hotel’s logo; shuttles cycle every 15–30 minutes for most branded properties.
- 4. Line up at the curb with your luggage; many shuttles have space for 8–20 passengers plus bags, but larger groups might need to wait for the next bus during peak hours.
- 5. Confirm with the driver that the shuttle is going to your specific hotel name, especially if your brand has multiple locations within a few miles of ATL.
Courtesy shuttles at ATL are typically free for registered hotel guests; some properties add a fee into a nightly “transportation” or “facility” charge rather than billing per ride. Tip the driver a few dollars per bag if they handle luggage. One good move: if your hotel doesn’t send a shuttle to the International Terminal, plan on the extra 20–30 minutes it takes to reach the Domestic side and then catch the hotel bus from there.
