Daily max around $14 keeps South Economy Parking in play

South Economy Parking sits on the south side of Hartsfield-Jackson, tied to the Domestic terminal and usually cheaper than the Domestic Park-Ride lots. It’s a surface lot with marked rows and lanes that feed directly toward the South terminal doors, so you’re pointed at Delta’s main check-in area from the moment you park.

The posted daily rate hovers around $14 per 24 hours, undercutting the Domestic garage options by several dollars per day. Entry and exit run through standard ticket or license-plate readers, and payment at the exit plaza takes major credit cards, so you don’t need cash. For short stays under 3 hours, the per-hour rate often approaches garage prices, so it’s better value for full-day or multi-day trips.

This lot serves the Domestic terminal only; if you’re flying out of the International terminal (Concourse F), factor in the Plane Train ride from Domestic to International, which can add 10–15 minutes each way. Walking from the far end of South Economy up to the South terminal doors can take 8–12 minutes, especially if you end up near the back fence during peak periods.

Overnight and multi-day parking is common here, and security patrols circulate in marked vehicles several times per hour during busier windows. Lighting runs on tall poles spaced roughly every few rows, so the middle sections feel brighter than the extreme edges late at night. If you return on a Sunday after 6 p.m., expect slow exit lines as local weekend trips wrap up.

Tip: note your row number on your phone the moment you park and snap a photo of the nearest light-pole marker; after a 5-day trip and two Plane Train rides, it saves a lot of wandering in the South Economy lanes.
