The Last Frontier Store

The moose logo for The Last Frontier Store pops up near ANC’s South Terminal gates.

This is the main Alaska-themed gift shop in the South Terminal at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, on the airside concourse past security. It leans hard into local branding: think moose, aurora prints, Iditarod slogans, and “Alaska” across every other hoodie. Prices run on the usual airport markup side, with T‑shirts commonly in the $25–$35 range and hoodies north of $50.

You’ll find the usual souvenirs here: logo hoodies, beanies for under $20, keychains in the $5–$10 range, and magnets in the $6–$8 band. There’s also packaged Alaska salmon and reindeer sausage, typically in the $12–$25 bracket, plus locally themed chocolates and berry candies. Staff generally ring people up fast enough that you can duck in and out between boarding calls, especially if you’re on a 30–40 minute layover.

If you need last-minute gifts, this place beats trying your luck with newsstands farther down the South Terminal hall. The trade-off: you’ll pay a few dollars more per item than in downtown Anchorage shops. For anything fragile like jarred jam or bottled sauces, check that seals are tight and ask for an extra bag at checkout.

Tip: swing through The Last Frontier Store before you head to the far South Terminal gates so you’re not sprinting back up the concourse when boarding starts.
