Privium ClubLounge

Schengen (near security/immigration zone) Open · 05:30-21:00 Day pass €45-€65

€320 a year buys locals fast-track immigration and this workspace

Privium ClubLounge sits airside in the Schengen zone near the security/immigration area and runs daily from 05:30 to 21:00. It’s part of Schiphol’s paid Privium program rather than any airline scheme, so think “membership club” more than “credit card lounge.” This is the main base for Dutch regulars who want a stable desk and coffee before a KLM or other intra-EU flight.

Access ties back to Privium Plus, which costs about €320 per year and includes the biometric border lanes plus entry to three Privium lounges at AMS. Plus members can bring guests for roughly €40 each, and non-members can sometimes buy single-use lounge vouchers in the €45–€65 range, which is roughly on par with Priority Pass-style day passes elsewhere in Europe.

The ClubLounge is inside security on the Schengen side, so you clear security and passport control first, then head here before gates in the B–H range. Because it’s past the checks, you can stay until around 21:00 even with an evening departure and then walk to most Schengen gates in under 10 minutes, assuming no mobility issues.

Food is basic: expect small snacks rather than a hot buffet, with cold items and packaged bites rotating over the day and self-serve drinks including coffee machines and soft drinks. If you’re paying a €45–€65 day pass purely for a meal, you’ll probably get better value from Schiphol’s regular restaurants around the concourse.

Where the lounge earns its keep is workspace. Regulars treat it like an office: they grab a barista-style coffee, plug into a table with power, and work for 30–60 minutes before boarding or catching the train. Wi‑Fi is free, seating skews businesslike, and the atmosphere tends to stay low-key compared with the main terminal halls.

One unusual perk: Privium members can use the ClubLounge on arrival as well as departure, as long as they can show a same-day boarding pass. That means you can land from a Schengen flight, head straight in for a shower-free but calm sit-down and email catch-up, then leave for the train within about 15 minutes of landing.

Practical tip: if you’re weighing a one-off pass at €45–€65, only buy it if you have at least 90 minutes airside and actually plan to work; for a quick coffee before a short hop to Paris or Berlin, the regular terminal cafés will do the job just as well.
