WHSmith

T2

Opposite T2 international check-in, WHSmith is AMD’s quick grab spot for last-minute basics. It sits airside in Terminal 2, handy if you’ve already cleared security and don’t want to double back to landside options. Think of it as the airport version of a neighborhood corner store, just at international prices.

You’ll see the usual WHSmith mix: packaged snacks, bottled water, soft drinks, and some instant noodles and biscuits that work for late-night departures after 22:00. Prices run higher than city shops (plan on ~₹40–₹60 for water and ₹100–₹250 for basic snacks), but still better than some cafés near the T2 gates. It’s usable as a backup if you forgot to eat before heading out.

Magazines, paperbacks, and simple stationery take up most of one wall; English titles are limited but you’ll usually find at least a couple of current news weeklies and one or two business books. They also stock travel-sized toiletries, basic painkillers, and phone cables, so you can recover from a forgotten charger or toothbrush without leaving T2’s security zone.

Stock can be patchy on late-night international banks around 01:00–03:00, when multiple widebodies leave from Terminal 2 and shelves don’t get restocked quickly. If you’re picky about brands, buy water and snacks earlier in the evening. Final tip: sort SIM cards and more complex electronics in the city; use WHSmith in T2 for simple top-ups and emergency replacements only.
