Smoking Accessories

Duty Free

T2

Opposite the main duty free in T2, Smoking Accessories sits right in the international departures flow, after security at Sardar Vallabh Patel International Airport. It’s a small stand-alone duty free unit focused on tobacco and related add-ons, handy if you forgot to stock up before reaching AMD. You’ll spot it along the walk toward the T2 international gates, after immigration.

Expect duty free cartons from the usual global cigarette brands, plus loose tobacco and some basic lighters. Prices run below typical Indian city retail thanks to duty free rules, though not always the cheapest in the region, so compare against what you pay in Dubai or Singapore if you transit those. Stock can skew toward king-size and regular-strength options, with fewer niche or ultra-light lines.

The shop keeps the same hours as most T2 international departures facilities, opening a few hours before the first outbound flights and running until the last late-night departures around 02:00–03:00. Payment generally works fine with INR cards, major international credit cards, and sometimes mobile wallets, but carry a physical card as backup. Staff usually process duty free tobacco purchases quickly, which helps if you’re boarding from one of the nearby gates.

There’s rarely a queue of more than 2–3 people at Smoking Accessories, so you can safely swing by after clearing security but before heading to your T2 gate. One practical move: check your airline’s allowance in kilograms or cartons before you reach the counter, so you’re not doing math in front of a 23:55 departure crowd.
