Gate-side duty free candy in T2

This “Confectionery” unit sits inside the T2 duty free zone, after immigration and security for international departures. You hit it along the standard walk toward the gates, in the same stretch as liquor and perfume. It’s duty free, so pricing on imported chocolate bars and gift boxes usually beats what you’ll see in city supermarkets by a noticeable margin.

Stock skews towards big-brand chocolates and sweets: think familiar international labels in bar, bag, and 200–500 g gift pack formats. You’ll also find basic travel-friendly packs near the cash counter, sized to slip into a backpack or laptop bag without blowing the 7 kg cabin allowance. Expect standard airport markups on anything “premium” or seasonal, even under the duty free tag.

Hours generally mirror T2’s overnight international traffic, with the shop open for late-night bank departures around 1:00–4:00 a.m. If you’re on an early-morning Middle East or Southeast Asia flight from T2, you should still find it trading. Payment takes INR plus major cards; staff are used to quick tap payments from transit passengers.

Best move: use the last 10–15 minutes before heading to your gate to grab sealed chocolate boxes for gifts, instead of hauling sweets from town through check-in. Keep your boarding pass handy at the till; some cashiers here still key in flight and airline details before they ring you up.
