Near Gate 3 in T1, this is AMD’s default holding pen

The Lounge in Terminal T1 sits just by Gate 3 and mostly serves Priority Pass and credit card holders who want anything other than the crowded public seating. It runs roughly 06:00–21:00 by airport listings, but LoungePair flags a 24/7 schedule with a weekly shutdown on Wednesdays from 11:00–13:30 for maintenance, so mid-day flyers get caught out.

Access is straightforward: Priority Pass, various Indian bank cards, or a paid day pass at about ₹1650 plus taxes per person. Kids under 5 years enter free, which families on Google Reviews call out as the only meaningful saving when they’re buying cash entry for two adults and one older child.

Inside, expect a compact room with low ceilings, worn armchairs, and no exterior windows or views of AMD’s T1 apron. Several Skytrax and Google reviewers describe uncomfortable seating and people wandering around looking for a spare seat during the 6–9 a.m. and 7–10 p.m. banks, so treat this more like a step up from the gate area than a premium club.

Food is basic Indian buffet-style: usually one or two hot curries, rice, dal, a pasta or noodles tray, and a small counter of salads and desserts. Multiple reviewers compare the spread to a mediocre office canteen, with the same dishes repeating through the day, so this works better as a quick meal stop than as a place to graze for hours.

Drinks stick to softs, tea, and coffee; there’s no bar mentioned on LoungePair, and you won’t find craft anything here. Wi‑Fi, TVs, and flight monitors are provided, but there are no showers listed, so arrive already cleaned up if you’re flying out after work or after a long train into Ahmedabad.

Stay limits are the real constraint: most programs cap you at 2 hours, while Amex Platinum entries note a maximum stay of 3 hours. Google reviews mention staff refusing entry too early if you show up more than a couple of hours before departure, even during long delays, so time your swipe carefully.

Regulars play it tactically: they try to miss the 6–9 a.m. and 7–10 p.m. rush, use whichever card gives them the 3‑hour allowance, then grab one plate of hot food and head back toward Gate 3 once the seats start filling. Copy them: eat, check Wi‑Fi, refill your bottle, and leave a buffer to find a seat at the gate in case your boarding changes late.
