ALM runs one small surface lot, so accessible parking sits right next to the terminal.

The signed accessible parking at Alamogordo White Sands Regional Airport (ALM) is in the same on-airport lot as standard parking, with a posted walk of about 5 minutes to Terminal 1. Daily pricing is simple: $10.00 per day, billed on a calendar-day basis, not by hour. There’s no separate accessible-only lot or shuttle loop to worry about at this field.

If you’re staying longer than four days, the $50.00 weekly rate beats paying the day rate; five days at the daily price would run $50.00 anyway, so anything beyond that is effectively free days under the weekly cap. The lot is directly next to the small terminal building, so you roll from car to check-in without crossing a multi-lane road or riding a bus.

Airport and city documents only mention “general parking” and do not spell out how many ADA spaces are in the lot, where they sit relative to the entrance, or how tightly ALM enforces placard rules. With a single surface lot and low traffic compared to larger airports, you’re relying on basic striping and signage rather than a dedicated accessibility program with staff on rotation.

Watch out for peak times tied to banked departures; with just one lot, those accessible spaces could fill before midday flights. ALM doesn’t publish prebooking for parking, so there’s no way to reserve a specific accessible stall. Give yourself 10–15 extra minutes beyond the 5‑minute walk in case you need to circle for a space and unload mobility aids or service animal gear.

Practical tip: toss a folding ramp or extra transfer board in the trunk; at a small airport like ALM, you’re parking close, but curb height and pavement gaps between the accessible stall and the terminal entrance can still trip up a tight connection.
