Economy E-Lot

Remote

$7 a day and a 10-minute shuttle is the play

At Albany International’s Economy E-Lot, you’re paying $7 per day for remote parking with a free shuttle that loops to the Main Terminal. For a 5-day trip that’s about $35 total, compared with roughly $60 in the on-airport Long-Term lot, which is why parking nerds call E-Lot the rational default if you don’t need to walk to check-in.

The lot sits about 0.7 miles from the terminal, to the southeast of the airport off Albany Shaker Road, with its own entrance that skips the main terminal loop. The shuttle circuit runs roughly every 10 minutes on a continuous loop between the E-Lot and the Main terminal curb, so you’re trading around 10 minutes of shuttle time to save about $5 per day versus Long-Term.

Regulars planning 4–7 day trips drive straight to Economy E-Lot first and only move on to Long-Term or the garages if the economy lot is posted full. Some locals coming in via Albany Shaker Road even use the Economy entrance as a back-door route, avoiding the more congested main terminal approach during peak bank times and holiday traffic.

Watch out for Mondays and Sundays: guides note Economy E-Lot often fills first on those peak days, pushing late arrivals into pricier options. Late-night arrivals with checked bags sometimes complain that the extra shuttle step, plus a 10-minute wait and ride in winter, feels longer than just walking from Long-Term or the garage, especially after delays.

Tip: for a week-long trip, arrive 15–20 minutes earlier than you normally would on Sunday evening or Monday morning, go straight to the Economy E-Lot entrance off Albany Shaker Road, and treat this as your default until the lot is clearly marked full.
